The Museum is incorporated in the vast complex of the basilica of San Lorenzo, the church of the Medici family. The Museum is especially famous for the New Sacristy which Michelangelo designed for the tombs of Lorenzo and Giuliano de' Medici, creating one of the masterpieces of architecture and sculpture of the Italian Renaissance.

The Itinerary: the Crypt, the Chapel of the Princes, the New Sacristy with Michelangelo's sculptures (the Allegories of Day and Nitgh, Dawn and Dusk, the statues of Lorenzo and Giuliano de' Medici, the Madonna with Child). The Itinerary can be varied according to the visitor's special requests.
