Tour presentation: Living in Chianti for one day and enjoying a panorama of hand-made, well-disposed rows of vineyards, along the cypress and olive trees, the stone houses and ancient rural tradition. The feeling of peace can be enjoyed through this tour with a private driver and private guide, who will lead you to the discovery of a small town in Chianti where life stopped many years ago and visit a ramparted village where we will listen to the silence and of a country church. We will stop at the Castle of the navigator who first arrived in New York passing what is now Hudson Bay.
His name was Giovanni da Verrazzano, his family has been making wine for centuries. This wine is now controlled and protected by the authoritative Chianti Classico Consortium. We will visit the gardens of the Castle and the aging wine cellars and understand the history of this famous explorer.
Chianti also means salami, ham, finocchiona and cheese. Of course you can do a tasting of Tuscan cold cuts and a wine tasting of Chianti Classico before leaving the Chianti!

Programme: Departure from Florence by minivan with driver and private guide.
Arrival at Castello Da Verrazzano, visit of the gardens of the castle, the aging cellars and wine tasting.
Lunch in the halls of the castle, or under the pergola.
In the afternoon visit to the village of Montefioralle and of the Romanesque church of San Cresci.
Visit of the Mercatale of Greve in Chianti and Ancient Falorni Butcher's shop. Tasting of wine and cold cuts.
Return to Florence.

3. Depending on the time of departure, the order of visits may be reversed.

If a cancellation is made at least 4 days before the day of the tour, the cancellation penalty is equal to 30% of the gross total.
For cancellations that are made from 3 days prior the day of the tour, the penalty charge will be equal to 100% of the gross total (price paid is NOT REFUNDABLE).
